AMALA PAUL - A.L. VIJAY
Actress Amala Paul and director Vijay's split was one of the most ones of 2016. Rumors that Vijay's parents were behind the divorce was doing the rounds saying they wanted Amala to quit her acting career. But Vijay issued a statement later and put all the rumors to rest. He said, 'The base for any marital relationship is honesty and trust, when that is breached the very existence of committed relationship becomes meaningless.'
SOUNDARYA RAJINIKANTH - ASHWIN RAMKUMAR
Soundarya Rajinikanth, Superstar’s second daughter got married to Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist in a grand ceremony in 2010. The duo have been having difference of opinion for a few years and have been living separately for more than 6 months. Soundarya and Ashwin have a one-year-old son named Ved who was born in March 2015.
LISSY LAKSHMI - PRIYADARSHAN
Lissy Lakshmi, popular Malayalam actress married ace director Priyadarshan in 1990. They were married for 24 years before the couple filed for divorce in 2014. Lissy’s divorce finally came through and the couple are now officially separated. Lissy issued a statement about her divorce calling it uncivilized and fierce. She said, 'It was often fierce and uncivilized battle on and off the courts until a compromise was reached at the Honorable High Court, Chennai. Perhaps the ugliness of our divorce proceedings says all about the kind of marriage we have had.'
HRITHIK ROSHAN - SUZZANE
Suzanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan were termed as the power couple of Bollywood for years until 2014 when they announced they were ending their 14-year marriage. The couple were childhood sweethearts and have been together for 20 years. Their separation broke a million hearts of their fans and both of them decided to keep the reason of their divorce private.
MALAIKA ARORA - ARBAAZ KHAN
Celebrity couple Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan announced their separation early this year. Malaika moved out of the Khan household making it clear that they have split. After she was spotted attending all family functions of Arbaaz, there were rumors that the couple might patch up. Arbaaz however confirmed that they are still separated.
FARHAN AKTHAR - ADHUNA
Farhan and Adhuna were the most loved Bollywood pair! The couple decided to end their 16 year marriage. The two have maintained a stony silence about why they decided to separate. The couple took their fans by surprise when they issued a statement saying, 'This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.'
RANBIR KAPOOR - KATRINA KAIF
Ranbir and Katrina are easily the most talked about couple in Bollywood. Anything they did, anywhere they were spotted made headlines! The stars moved out of the house in Bandra in which they were living together. Ranbir called Katrina 'an important entity' in his life in an interview and Katrina in a counter interview said that the last 2 years have been the most difficult for her personally.
