Tollywood’s one of the most popular directors Dasari Narayana Rao passes away at the age of 75. The director was undergoing treatment at the KIMS hospital in Hyderabad. Dasari was earlier admitted to KIMS in February after he complained of breathing-related problems, for which he underwent surgery for an infection in lungs and kidneys and later showed signs of recovery. Since February, his health has been deteriorating and did not respond to any form of medication or treatment.

On May 4th, the ‘Kante Koothurne Kanu’ director celebrated his 75th birthday. According to reports, after his condition got serious again, he was admitted to the KIMS hospital last week. He underwent surgery three days ago.The National Award winning filmmaker directed over 125 films and produced 50 films. Few of His best films are ‘Premabhishekam’, ‘Meghasandesham’, ‘Osey Ramulamma’ and few more to mention. He recently announced his plans to make a biopic on J Jayalalithaa.
