A lot of rumors made the way ever since Kollywood actress Jyothika walked out of ‘Vijay 61’ which was directed by Atlee. From payment issues to Suriya not allowing her to act in the film, everything was said. Kollywood beauty Jyothika had earlier backed out of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 61st film.

She had, in fact, confirmed her role, heard the script and even took an advance; her backing off is still a mystery.In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actress cleared the air saying, “Suriya was not the reason I walked out of the project. Neither did my family stop me. One doesn’t walk out of a film at the last minute due to external pressure. I had a certain issue which was later settled amicably. But, I feel it shouldn’t be discussed. People who tweet various rumors on social media should think before leveling baseless allegations.”

Actress Nithya Menon then replaced Jyothika in Mersal directed by ‘Theri’ fame Atlee. The ‘OK Kanmani’ star who is super talented was roped in for yet another magnum opus in Kollywood after Mani Ratnam’s flick which was a superhit.

The Vijay-Jyothika duo was last seen in ‘Thirumalai’ 13 years ago. We really wish the power-packed onscreen couple will act together soon!
