The ‘Roja’ fame star Arvind Swami stars in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, playing Varadan, the oldest son to a mafia don.

The two have been collaborating ever since Arvind Swami was introduced by the filmmaker in the year 1991 at the young age of 21. He has since acted about 5 entertaining and blockbuster films of Mani Ratnam.

1. Thalapathi: Introducing the 21-year-old Arvind Swami was the best thing done by the director. The new face of the film industry won the hearts of millions of female fans. His acting was equally impressive right from the first film. His role as Arjun was worth the applauds.

2. Roja: Praised as one of the most romantic movies ever, the movie is an absolute gem. Arvind’s role as a gentle lover was one of his best. His romance with Madhubala was truly loved by all.

 

3. Indira: In the year 1995 Arvind Swami sported a patriotic role which proved his mettle in acting. Seen along with Anu Hassan, he played the patriotic romantic that one couldn’t take their eyes off the screen.

 

4. Bombay: Arvind has gotten well into the patriotic role as the movie Bombay was another lovely patriotic story with a lot of breathtaking romance with Manisha Koirala. He looked intense and loveable at the same time.

 

5. Kadal: After 17 years, Arvind Swami combined with Mani Ratnam and sported a beautiful role of a supporting protagonist. However, the audience was more happy about seeing him back on-screen than anything else.
