Actresses like Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor have also flaunted their talent in singing in Bollywood, however, not many actresses from South India have tried their hand at singing. Do not worry, that wish of yours has been solved by none other than the newbie South Indian actress Aditi Rao Hydari.

During one of the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ and audio launch, Aditi made her singing debut and we must say, this is something beyond what we thought. ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is an upcoming romantic drama directed by none other than Mani Ratnam. The movie stars Karthi Sivakumar and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. Karthi plays the role of fighter pilot while Aditi plays the role of a doctor. Many of the scenes in the movie are shot in parts of Kashmir and the cinematography has done complete justice to the beautiful location.

Produced by Sri Thennandal Films, the music is scored by none other than ‘Isai Puyal’ AR Rahman. The ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu’ fame Ravivarman will be the Director of Photography for this movie. The movie is expected to release on April 7th, 2017.
