Ramya Krishnan has played many unique characters and always does a fine job in acting them. The latest addition to her versatile list would be that of a porn star. Ramya Krishnan will do the role of a porn star in her upcoming movie ‘Super Deluxe’ which also stars Vijay Sethupathi as a transgender woman, Samantha Akkineni and Fahadh Faasil in the lead.
During a meet Ramya Krishnan’s director Thiyagaraja Kumararaja and scriptwriter Mysskin revealed,”Ramya Krishnan was an odd person to play the role of the porn star in the film within the film, Mallu Uncut. We had initially approached Nadiya for the role, Ramya was very cool, and she probably felt that she was pushing herself out of her comfort zone.”
Thiyagaraja apparently made Ramya do one particular scene 37 times until it clicked right. “More than me, my assistants were the ones who were shocked. Some roles are for money, some for popularity and name, some for passion. This (Super Deluxe) was passion,” Ramya said.
