Thalapathy 66 is Vijay’s next film with director Vamshi Paidipally.  Vijay is set to make his Telugu debut with the Tamil-Telugu bilingual drama. The official announcement of Vamshi Paidipally’s directorial was made a month ago, and the team is working hard to assemble a strong cast and crew. The lead actress of the film was announced to be Tollywood star Rashmika Mandanna.

Now, Bigg Boss Tamil 5 contest Samyuktha Shanmugham has announced that she is also a part of Thalapathy 66. Announcing the news on her Instagram, she said, “Very very excited to join team #thalapathy66 ♥️♥️😊”. The actress was last seen on Priya V’s Anantham, a series that was released on Zee5.

Thalapathy 66 has a stellar supporting cast including, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Yogi Babu.  Tamil hero Shaam and Telugu hero Srikanth have come on board ‘Thalapathy 66’. It is said that both are playing the elder brothers of Vijay in the film which is said to be a family entertainer with commercial ingrediants. Similarly actress Sangeetha Krish is also playing a prominent role.

‘Thalapathy 66’ is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and is produced by Dil Raju with Thaman scoring the music. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace with an eye on a Pongal 2023 worldwide release.
