S S Rajamouli, the director of Magnum Opus ‘Bahubali’, won the hearts of many with his film. Not just Tollywood, but the entire Nation loved the historical drama. With the release of ‘Bahubali-The Conclusion’ nearing, there have been reports that Rajamouli is in talks with three huge superstars for his next film ‘Mahabharata’. According to reports, the director who is currently busy with ‘Bahubali-The Conclusion’, is very excited about ‘Mahabharata’.
“Rajamouli is currently busy with Baahubali 2, but he is thrilled about Mahabharata. He wants to take Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal on board for this project. He is yet to decide on the characters these stars will portray”, a source said. The film will apparently be shot in three languages-Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Rajamouli’s decision of choosing superstars from various regions is to catch the attention of a wider audience.
However, what surprised us was Aamir’s response to the news:
Adding to this, Aamir had earlier told the media that he is a great fan of the director and would love to collaborate with him. “I’m a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharata, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna,” Aamir told when asked whether he would take up the offer. On missing an opportunity to work with Rajinikanth for dubbing in Dangal, he said, “I did approach Rajini sir and he loved the film. After discussing with him both he and I felt that his voice is too recognizable. He is so popular that his voice won’t suit my face. We both felt that. But he loved the film. He was very encouraging.” This will also be Aamir’s first ever South Indian film.
Post ‘Dangal’, Aamir is all set to start shooting ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan. While, Superstar Rajinikanth, who was last seen in ‘Kabali’ directed by ‘Madras’ fame Ranjith, has now completed the shoot of ‘Enthiran 2.0’ which stars Amy Jackson and also Akshay Kumar as the antagonist.
