JFW Awards

The future of cinema; Rashmika Mandanna

Award for Sensation of The Year!

She may be called the ‘Karnataka Crush’, but Rashmika has the hearts of the entire South Indian cinema today. Her first film ‘Kirik Party’ in 2016, was an instant commercial success and earned her the South Indian International Movie Award for Best Debut Actress. And with consecutive hits after that like ‘Anjani Putra’, ‘Chamak’ and ‘Bangalore Mirror’, she became the poster girl of flirtatious and feisty characters. She followed this with the superhit release ‘Chalo’, her debut in Telugu cinema, which thrived at the box office; her comedic timing was heavily applauded in reviews.

Her next massive success was ‘GeethaGovindam’ – a major crowd-puller which launched many trends in the south, including the social media re-enactment of the famous ‘InkemInkemKaavale’ song. Earlier this year, she rocked the box office with her Kannada film ‘Yajamana’, and has also announced an upcoming debut in Tamil cinema. For perfectly balancing elegance with glamour in her performances and for becoming the latest silver-screen dreamgirl in the south, JFW is excited to recogniseRashmika with the Award for Sensation of the Year.
