COVID cases are increasing by the minute in India. The number of cases affecting each state is scarily high and many of our near and dear ones are also seen getting affected from the same. Celebrities are no exception to this viral spread. As and when they shoot, many are contracting COVID and are isolating themselves as a result. The latest to be affected would have to be the popular actress Pooja Hegde.

Taking to social media, the actress even confirmed the news. “Hello everyone. This is to inform you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have isolated and home quarantined myself. I request all those who’ve come in contact with me recently to get tested too. Thank you for your love & support. I am currently recuperating well Please stay home, stay safe & take care,” she wrote.

A fanpage of actor Vijay was quick to wish the actress a speedy recovery too. “Wishing our #Thalapathy65 Heroine @hegdepooja for a speedy recovery. To clarify she was ‘not’ part of the recent Georgia schedule,” they confirmed in their tweet.

It was only recently when Sun Pictures confirmed the leading lady for Vijay’s next untitled Thalapathy 65 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame. The first schedule of the film was being shot in Georgia. It is being reported that the unit had planned to shoot a romantic song, featuring her and Vijay, and a stunt sequence. But the team has returned to India from Georgia, where they had shot for 17 days.

Pooja had not been able to join the team because she was working on a Telugu film as well.
