Actress Tamannaah has confirmed that she has bagged the role of female lead in the remake of the telugu rom – com, Pelli Choopulu in Tamil. The film directed by Senthil Veeraswamy, will be produced by none other than Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Tamannaah who is currently shooting for a project along side Kollywood Star T. R Silambarasan, is very excited to do the rom – com. She said, “Pelli Choopulu is a very nice story and I love the female lead’s character.”

With her never ending admiration for Gautham Menon, Tamannaah told NDTV, “I am a Gautham Menon fan not only for is larger than life stories, but also, they strong female characters he creates for his heroines… Gautham’s team and myself – we gel really well. The long script discussion was enthusiastic and exciting.”

She has also decided not to watch Pelli Choopulu more than once as she wants to bring about a freshness to the remake.
