Ever since speculations about Kajal Aggarwal starting a family started hitting headlines, there were also rumours that she is going to be quitting Shankar’s Indian 2. Earlier, reports said that Trisha was all set to replace Kajal Aggarwal in the movie. However, recent reports say a different story.

Latest speculations are that Tamannaah is to be roped in to play the character that was to be played by Kajal Aggarwal. While this news has not been confirmed by the team, if Tamannaah is roped in, this would be her first film with Kamal Haasan.

As neither Trisha nor Tamannaah have been roped in officially, it seems like the shooting of the film is delayed. Kamal Haasan too was down with COVID-19 and has just returned back to work. He will most probably first be focusing on finishing Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram  before stepping onto Indian 2.

Kajal Aggarwal was last seen in a Telugu movie, Mosagullu. She is currently filming for Acharya and Paris Paris and is awaiting the release of a few films,  including, Hey Sinamika, Ghosty, etc. Tamannaah on the other hand was last seen in Maestro, the Telugu remake of Andhadhun, She is currently filming for movies like Plan A Plan B, Bhola Shankar and Gurthunda Seethakalam. She is also awaiting the release of F3 and Bole Chudiyan.
