Known for his romantic movies like Fanaa and Teri Meri Kahani, Kunal Kohli, who makes his Telugu debut with this film is rumoured to have based the story on his Bollywood movie Hum Tum that starred Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji. Next Enti has been produced by Sachin Joshi.
Meanwhile, for Tamannaah, she has the Telugu remake of Kangana Ranaut’s 2014 movie Queen. Titled That is Mahalakshmi, the movie is being simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam.
Her other future projects are Kanne Kalaimaane with Udhayanidhi Stalin, F2 – Fun & Frustration – a Telugu movie starring alongside Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej, and NTR: Kathanayakudu – the biopic on the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao in which Nandamuri Balakrishna plays the titular character. She will also be a part of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy – a period film which stars Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapati Babu and Nayanthara. And she has Devi 2 – A L Vijay’s sequel to his 2016 hit horror comedy Devi in which Tamannaah starred alongside Prabhudeva.
