The couple has been together for more than a decade now. The duo met each other right after Taapsee made her Bollywood debut in 2013. “I met him during a Badminton match, I was a spectator and he was a player, we ended up chatting on Twitter a bit and then we met each other since then its been a happy calm, no baggage, no burden relationship”, Taapsee said when asked about Mathias. Although no official announcement has been made by the couple till now, the couple’s close circle has been dropping hints on their social media handles including her critically acclaimed blockbuster- Thappad co-actor Pavail Gulati.

Pavail posted a group picture from a celebration night along with  Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu, Indian badminton players Chirag Shetty, Satwiksai Rankireddy, Abhilash Thapliyal and her cousin and makeup artist Evania Pannu. Shagun also posted a story on her Instagram handle from one of the wedding celebrations. According to reports the wedding was also graced by Director Anurag Kashyap,  Producer Kanika Dhillon, and her husband.

Taapsee is known in the industry for her discerning choice of roles and versatile acting. She was critically praised for her performance in movies like Thappad, Haseena Dillruba, and Pink. The actor was last seen in Dunki. Her upcoming projects include Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?, Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, Khel Khel Mein.
