Suriya and Jyothika donate for a noble cause!

Such a nice gesture!

 

Suriya and Jyothika’s 2D entertainment has been hitting the headlines for the past few months as they have bankrolled and released three movies, Raame Aandalum Ravane Aandalum, Udanpirappe and Jai Bhim. The last one has been released only for Diwali and it has already started receiving great reviews. 

Prior to the release of Jai Bhim, Suriya and Jyothika met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Stalin and donated a big fund. Team Jai Bhim met with the CM MK Stalin to donate Rs. 1 crore to support the education of Irular community students on behalf of Suriya and Jyothika’s 2D Entertainment. A cheque for the amount was given in the presence of the Honourable CM to Rtd Justice Chandru & members of the Pazhangudi Irular Trust.

Actor Suriya is also the founder of the ‘Agaram Foundation’, an initiative to financially help the education of poor students and it also helps in the upliftment of their life.’Jai Bhim’ is Suriya’s upcoming film directed by Tha Se Gnanvel, a journalist turned filmmaker. Produced by 2D Entertainment, it is a courtroom drama based on the 1993 legal battle led by senior advocate Chandru. Suriya fills the shoes of a public prosecutor for the first time. As the movie is about winning justice for an Irular tribe woman, the makers have donated the money to help the Irular community students.

Suriya was last seen in Soorarai Pottru. After the release of Jai Bhim, he is now working on Edharkum Thunindhavan. Jyothika on the other hand was last seen in Udanpirappe, a film starring Sasi Kumar and Samuthirakani.
