Sudha Kongara’s next is a Women-Centric Film? Find Out Who Is The Lead!

Director Sudha Kongara who has previously done Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Pottru recently won the National Award for best screenplay for the latter. As the film bagged several awards, she shared a note on Instagram with heartfelt thanks to all. She had written in the caption, “For the loved ones on land and in the skies…heartfelt thanks.”

The director is currently working on the Hindi remake of the film along with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan.  Suriya, who starred in the original is to make a cameo in this film. After this film, Sudha is to join hands with the producers of KGF, who made the announcement a while ago. The actor and the screenplay of the film are however not revealed yet.

Earlier, there were speculations that Simbu was to play the lead in the film Sudha is doing with Hombale Films. However, recent reports suggest a completely different story. If the latest buzz is to be believed, Sudha Kongara’s next is to be a women-centric film. According to speculations, she is looking at Keerthy Suresh to play the lead for the film. Keerthy Suresh who was last seen in Vaashi has won the National Award for Mahanti/Nadigayar Thilagam.

Reports also suggest that Sudha is going to be the creative director of this untitled film, while her daughters are the executive producers. The shooting is said to commence soon, and the rest of the cast and crew details are likely to be revealed soon too. Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh is currently filming for Maamannan in Tamil and Dasara and Bhola Shankar in Telugu. Maamannan is a Mari Selvaraj film starring Udayanidhi Stalin and Fahadh Faasil. Bhola Shankar is the remake of Vedalam and Keerthy Suresh is co-starring with Tamannah and Chiranjeevi in the film. Lastly, she is doing Dasara along with Jersey star Nani.
