Student kills self being denied to write exam over unpaid fees!

The Class 9 student had a pending fee of Rs.2000.

A 14-year-old student called K Sai Deepthi, of Jyothi High School, killed herself at her home in Malkajgiri after hanging herself from the ceiling fan. The student allegedly was made to stand out of the classroom and denied the chance to write her exam for not paying the school fee of Rs 2,000. Since both parents weren’t home the child had narrated the whole incident to her sister.

According to reports, Deepthi, after coming back home from school, called her mother and narrated the incident. When her mother tried to call her an hour later, there was no response.

“After returning from school, the girl complained that her class teacher did not allow her to give exam and insulted her for not paying fees,” said Uma Maheshwar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Malkajgiri.

A case has been registered under IPC Section 306 (Abetment of suicide) against the school after her parents registered a complaint. The school is yet to respond.
