Sridevi’s Family Finally Talk About The Late Actress’ Death!

It’s been three months since actress Sridevi Boney Kapoor passed away due to accidental drowning, with social media never forgetting about the legacy the late starlet left behind. For the first time ever, her husband, Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, opened up about her death and the difficulty he and the family have been facing after this irrevocable loss.

“I am trying to be both a mother and a father to my children,” he said, in an interview with Masala. The producer also acknowledged how the family’s life was briefly in freeze-pause in the last few months.

“There were so many things left unsaid and undone. Now I am finally picking up the pieces again trying to put my life together for my children’s sake. There were things that were put on pause. I am trying to resume my life. I am yet to come to terms with the fact that she’s gone forever,” he added.

Her daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who is all set to make her acting debut in Dhadak, has been paying tributes to her late mother on social media, often remembering all the fun times with her. She recently attended the National Awards ceremony, accepting her mother’s posthumous award.

Superstar Sridevi, who died on February 24 around 11 PM UAE time at a hotel room in Dubai, has been the centre of various speculations for a while now. Accompanied by her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi was in Dubai for a family wedding when she died. It is said that she went into the hotel bathroom, and when she did not come back on time, a worried Boney Kapoor entered the bathroom with the hotel staff, where he found his wife unconscious. Sridevi was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her death has been ruled as a case of accidental drowning, but that hasn’t stopped theories floating about a possible murder. Recently, an ex-cop come out claiming that her death was a planned murder.

Meanwhile, the actress was honoured at the recent Cannes Film Festival. While her family was supposed to collect the award, filmmaker Subhash Ghai accepted it on their behalf.
