As the Mani Ratnam’s star cast gets bigger and better, there is the latest addition to it. In the biggest casting coup of sorts in the recent times in Kollywood, Mani Ratnam has managed to cast another star in his latest project. This time, it is Simbu who has come on board for his next film. The film reportedly has a stellar cast that includes Vijay Sethupathi, Nani, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh. Talks are there with Aditi Rao Hydari as well.

A source close to the team has told Deccan Chronicle, “It is true that Simbu has signed the film, though it isn’t possible to reveal any other information pertaining to the film now.” This is also Simbu’s first time to get together with Mani Ratnam, while with Jyothika, this is the third time after ‘Manmadhan’ and ‘Saravana’. Although not much of this has been confirmed, it is said that Vijay Sethupathi will just be playing the role of an extended cameo.

Jyothika’s long term desire also comes true. She has signed a project with Mani Ratnam which is expected to be the Director’s next. In her Interview recently with Indiaglitz, she revealed the news that she has signed a project with Mani. Jyothika has also shared many other exclusive details about the second innings of her career, including her film  ‘Nachiyaar’ directed by Bala in which she stars opposite G. V. Prakash Kumar.
