Simbu and Trisha to tie the knot? Find Out!

How true is this news?

Actor Trisha was recently seen as Kundavai in Ponniyin Selvan, where she rocked as the leading lady along with Sobitha Dhulipala as Vaanathi. The character is the daughter of Sundara Chola and the sister of Adithya Karikalan and Arun Mozhi Varman. While she is also signing other projects, she may also be reuniting with Vijay for her next. This is however just speculation. The most recent rumour suggested that Trisha is all set to tie the knot with Simbu. However, let us see how true this rumour is.

Trisha and Simbu first acted together in Alai which was released in 2003. Their onscreen chemistry was however recognised only after their appearance as a couple in  Gautam Vasudev Menon’s Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya in 2010. The couple were hailed for their realistic performance, and fans wished both the actors to get married. Then, during the pandemic, GVM came up with a shortfilm called ‘Karthik Dial Seidha Yen’ which also went viral on social media.

Now, both actors have let out similar statements regarding their thoughts about marriage. Simbu said that he doesn’t wish to hurry into getting into marriage as he doesn’t want to end up having marital trouble. Trisha, on the other hand, said that she is waiting for the right person, and will keep waiting until she meets such a person. After seeing the statements of both of these actors, a fan suggested that they both could probably get married, given that they have a similar perception about marriage. Immediately, rumours were strife that the two are all set to tie the knot. However, this has not been confirmed whatsoever.

Trisha rose to fame with movies like Lesa Lesa, Saamy and Enakku 20 Unakku 18. Eventually, with movies like Ghilli and Aayutha Ezhuthu, Trisha started creating a niche for herself, not only in Kollywood but also in Tollywood. Now, Trisha is the only actress in Kollywood who has sustained for 20 whole years, without taking a break or quitting the industry. On the work front, Trisha is filming for Jeethu Joseph’s Ram along with Mohanlal, in Malayalam. She is also doing The Road with Arun Vaseegaran, a debutante director. Trisha plays a housewife, but she is a former journalist in the film. For Television, she has signed up for Brinda in Telugu for SonyLiv. Simbu, on the other hand, is filming for Pathu Thala costarring Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar. He was last seen in GVM’s Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
