Simbhu, the Controversy’s child!

Known fondly as STR to his fans, TR’s son Simbhu has been controversy’s favourite child ever since he has been limelight which is from the tender age of 4!  Here’s taking a look at the top 5 times Simbhu’s life has come under scrutiny:

1. 1. Beep Song

      The song with expletive lyrics so controversial that it needed a beep in the song itself says a lot about this scandal. Known as the beep song the song was composed by Anirudh and sung by STR for viral purposes. The song was called out for being sexist with police complaints and FIR filed left, right and center. Simbhu never apologized but claimed the song was for personal entertainment and nothing more.

2. The AAA of scandals

With the possibility of being barred from the industry by Producer’s council, AAA is the ace of all Simbhu scandals. Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (known as AAA) was a box office failure and the director and producer wasted no time in claiming it was owing to Simbhu and his unprofessional behaviour. In a press conference, the producer told the media the following:

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think that a film called Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan with Simbu would push me into a miserable state like this. The minute he got the advance, he took all matters into his own hands.

He had promised me that the movie will begin in April and release for Deepavali. Several producers who had worked with him had warned me that he was not professional. But I believed the word he gave me because he was a big actor and I thought there were ulterior motives to the accusations. So I decided to fund the film. But the film that was supposed to start in April only began in July.”

“For the second schedule, we planned to travel to Dubai, but Simbu pointed out the hot climate in Dubai and asked us to shift the location to London. He delayed the shoot. After two months of talks, he finally agreed for Dubai. Then, he said that he would reduce his weight and come for the shoot. But he didn’t do anything to reduce the weight. Without no other choice, with the same body physique, we shot Ashwin Thatha’s portions in Chennai,” the producer claims, as per reports.

This is not the first time that allegations of this nature have been leveled against the actor.

3. When he dated Nayanthara

STR and Nayan were one of the most sought-after pairs in Tamil cinema but they had gotten on to a very rocky start. Meeting just before the shooting of Vallavan, their intimate pictures of kissing were leaked to the public and both actors were called out for allegedly being indecent. The pair used this to their advantage and even went so far as to replicate their real-life kiss in reel for the movie.

4. STR and Hansika

Simbhu’s relationships have always been under immense scrutiny. Therefore when the pair took to social media to announce they were dating and were to marry soon, it sent Kollywood fans into a media frenzy. Their romantic banter on Twitter was widely publicized each and every time, and soon enough they announced their breakup online too. Simbhu sent a very sourly worded open statement to media regarding the same.

5. STR and Oviya

With so many controversies to his name, when STR announced that Oviya is his favourite of all Bigg Boss contestants and he would in fact even marry her, K-Town folks took it to their heart. In fact, when he recently recorded a song with the Bigg Boss beloved Oviya, called Marana Matta, fans took that as a sign with some even going so far as to morph a picture to make it look like they are married.  What made the situation worse was when Simbhu himself came on the recently aired TV talk show on call to talk to Oviya and give advice plus a controversial statement. He said,  “We just sang a song and rumours spread that we were married. If we act together they will start saying we have kids!”
