Sunaina has enjoyed a resurgence in 2019, with the long-awaited release of EnaiNokiPaayum Thota and the critically praised romantic anthology film SilluKarupatti, directed by Halitha Shameem of PoovarasamPeepee fame. She was also seen in the Zee5 web series Fingertip, which she starred in alongside fellow big-screen actors Akshara Haasan, Ashwin Kakumanu and Gayathrie Shankar.

She recently took to Instagram to share her success with her fans in a live interactive session.

She has been in the news as of late, due to the rumours surrounding her marital status doing the rounds on social media. Naturally, this popped up in her Instagram question and answer session with her inquisitive fans and she laid the issue to rest by calling it fake news. Not only did she state that she was not married, but she also went on to say that her marriage will happen with clear announcements and communication, and urged her fans to not believe these stories.

Sunaina will be seen next sharing the spotlight with Nakul in the R. Kannan directed EriyumKannadi, marking their third movie together after her Kollywood debut KadhalilVizhunthen and 2009 hit Maasilamani. She also has an upcoming Science Fiction movie called Trip, where she will be seen alongside Yogi Babu and Karunakaran.
