Shruti Haasan has never been able to portray her acting skills and according to reports, she feels that this role of ‘Sanghamitra’ will give her a great opportunity to do so and is very impressed with the role. The team will consist of Arya, ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Shruti Haasan; it will shot in Tamil and Telugu. Sundar C has plans of shooting the movie in Hindi but the cast will vary.
The movie will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films and the music will be scored by none other than ‘Isai Puyal’ A R Rahman. The person behind the camera will be the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ fame Sudeep Chatterjee. Shruti Haasan was last seen in the movie ‘Singam 3’ alongside Kollywood star Suriya Sivakumar and Anushka Shetty. While Arya is awaiting the release of ‘Santana Devan’ which is a movie inspired from ‘Jallikattu’. ‘Jayam’ Ravi’s ‘Bogan’ which also stars Arvind Swami and Hansika Motwani, is running successfully.
Sri Thenandal Films will also be producing ‘Thalapathy 61’ directed by Atlee starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Nithya Menon, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal. They are distributors of Maniratnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ starring Karthi Sivakumar and Aditi Rao Hydari.
