A conversation of her with an English daily is doing the rounds where she talks about that one professional advice her father, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan gave her. Shruti will be seen doing a Hindi film Yaara starrign Vidyut Jamwal and Amit Sadh. In the film, Shruti will be donning the role of a 50-year-old woman and she was a little concerned about how the look would pan out.
To this, her father apparently came to her rescue and solved the mystery. “My dad suggested I pull out a picture of my mother [Sarika] and him when they were in their 50s. He said, ‘Study how our faces look and use that as reference’. So, we didn’t go overboard with the make-up. That’s probably the only time my dad helped me (professionally). I am glad that the film looks fresh. The story is set in 1975, and hence, does not run the risk of looking dated,” she was quoted saying.
Shruti’s role surely does sound interesting.
On the professional front, Shruti is back from her sabbatical and is doing three films in three different languages. She is doing Krack in Telugu which has Ravi Teja in the lead, Laabam in Tamil alongside Vijay Sethupathi and finally, Yaara directed by Tigmanshu.
