Actress Sreeja Chandran started her film career with only Malayalam films as a child artist. While she did Kathapurushan in Malayalam as a child in 1995, she has also done 10 other films in the language over the years. In 2013, she got the opportunity to star in Vijay TVs Saravanan Meenatchi which became her claim to fame. She co-starred with Mirchi Senthil, and the two acted as love interests. The onscreen couple then fell in love on sets and tied the knot in real life. Their wedding took place in 2014.

Now, 8 years later, the couple has announced that they’re all set and geared up to become parents. Senthil and Sreeja announced that eight years after their marriage they are to become parents soon and asked fans to keep them in their prayers. The baby shower function pics have gone viral and the couple is flooded with congratulatory messages from celebrity friends and fans on social media. “We are glad to inform you that we going to be Parents soon. Keep us in ur prayers,” Senthil wrote as a caption to his Instagram post.

Senthil joined Radio Mirchi, Chennai as a Radio Jockey in 2003 and has performed various roles such as Radio producer, EP and Programming Head. Later he moved to Coimbatore to head Coimbatore Radio Mirchi for 4 years. He has hosted many shows like Mirchi Gold, Mirchi Bazaar, Pettai Raap and Love Talkies. Senthil made his Tamil film debut in the 2005 film Thavamai Thavamirundhu in which he played the elder brother of director Cheran. He was nominated for the Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor. He got his first lead role in the movie Sengathu Bhoomiyilae. He continued to act in lead roles in films like Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal, Pappali, Vennila Veedu, Rombha Nallavan Da Nee, etc. These films didn’t fare well at the box office, however.  Post their wedding, both Senthil and Sreeja did a series called ‘Kalyanam Conditions Apply’ which is currently airing its 3rd season.
