Sania and her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik were blessed with the baby boy on 30 October. It may be recalled that Sania Mirza shared a post, wherein she expressed how difficult it is to leave home, especially her almost-two-month-old baby, for professional commitments. She wrote this while posting a picture with Izhaan, cuddling him in his arms.
In an interview, Sania also talked in length about pregnancy, getting back on the court and explaining how women don’t really need to choose between things, don’t need to be an either-or person and can have it all.
Sania has been out of tennis action since October 2017 and had missed out her Australian Open return earlier this year as well before the announcement of her pregnancy came about. However, while a 2019 return seems likely on the cards, she has kept her eyes fixed on Tokyo Olympics 2020.
