Ace tennis player Sania Mirza who married Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik tweeted in the cutest way about their pregnancy yesterday. Sania tweeted the picture of a set of three lockers – with her jersey and her husband Shoaib Malik’s jersey, and a third locker which says ‘Mirza-Malik’, in the middle hinting that the baby will have both their surnames – a gender role slamming parenting.

Shoaib also tweeted the same pic.

Earlier Sania Mirza was heard saying, “Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter,” Sania said during a panel discussion titled ‘Gender Bias’ at the Goa Fest 2018.

She had also reacted to the Kathua rape case saying:

“Is this really the kind of country we want to be known as to the world today ?? If we can’t stand up now for this 8 year old girl regardless of our gender,caste,colour or religion then we don’t stand for anything in this world.. not even humanity.. makes me sick to the stomach,” she tweeted.
