Samantha’s Next Is The Indian Spinoff Of The International Spy Series Citadel ! FIRST LOOK OUT NOW!

Samantha and Varun take the internet by storm with Citadel’s Indian Installment’s first look. The espionage series is the Indian spinoff of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s Citadel created by the Russo brothers and it is titled as Citadel : Honey Bunny, the title along with the first look was revealed at the Amazon Prime’s #Areyouready event at Mumbai. Citadel : Honey Bunny will be directed by the famous filmmaker Raj and DK. This series marks Samantha’s second project with the director duo after Family Man 2. The creators gave the audiences an insight into why the series has been titled Honey Bunny, the duo revealed, “it is a term of endearment, Honey bunny, at the same time the characters are also called Honey and Bunny”. In April 2023, during the premiere of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden starrer Citadel, Samantha expressed gratitude to be part of the spy verse that would connect many different countries and bring together many different stories. She was quoted saying, “ Women being offered action is such a rarity and in India, even more a rarity, so I think there is nothing more to even think twice in accepting this role “

Amazon prime video has also made an official announcement on their twitter handle along with the first look of the series.

Citadel: Honey Bunny has a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s. Honey Bunny is the Indian series within the Citadel universe.”

Along with Samantha and Varun, the series also has a vibrant ensemble cast including Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saqib Saleem and Sikandar Kher.

Raj & DK’s D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and the Russo brothers’ AGBO collaborate in producing the series. Executive producers Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes from AGBO, along with David Weil (“Hunters”), oversee “Citadel: Honey Bunny” and all other series within the expansive “Citadel” universe including the Spanish, Italian and Mexican spin-offs.
