Samantha’s defamation case backfires!

Hyderabad court not in Sam’s favor?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s separation has been a long-discussed buzz in the south with so many people creating rumors and allegations on the both of them. Though there is no proper evidence to support any reason for their divorce, many media channels propagated reasons and allegations against the Jaanu actor and subsequently, Samantha filed a defamation case against many of them including Suman TV, Telugu Popular TV, and a few more YouTube channels.

The couple made their split official on October 2. The duo issued a joint statement about their divorce, thereby sending fans in a major state of shock. Following her action of filing a defamation case against the channels, the Hyderabad court has ordered the Rangasthalam actor to simply apologize to the concerned channels.

According to reports, the court had said, “The actress can seek a word of apology from the content owners of the concerned YouTube channels, individuals and media outlets, rather than filing defamation cases on them. In court, everyone is equal before the law. There is no sense of some being high and others being low. We will hear Samantha’s case as per the procedure.”

This comment is a resultant response of Samantha’s lawyer urging the Kukatpally Hyderabad court to hear her case on an urgent basis. The district judge, annoyed by the persistent requests had dished out this statement and said that the law is equal to all and her case shall be heard as per the procedure.

According to another report, the court also said that “Celebrities share the details about their personal lives in the public domain and they then file defamation suits.”

Recently, Samantha had also reacted to such false rumors and had issued a statement saying that stories of her having an affair, abortions, and not wanting children are extremely painful and urged everyone to give her time to heal.

Speaking of the couple, they had met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave and had tied the knot in October 2017, four years after which they have called it quits.

On the professional front, Samantha is awaiting the release of her Shakuntalam and her Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal while also announcing her Bollywood debut recently.
