Samantha to enter the Hollywood world?

May she reach greater heights!

Samantha recently hit the headlines when she said that she was waiting for the right opportunity to step foot into Bollywood. Well, she is not only trying for her Bollywood debut, but has now officially entered the Hollywood world. Samantha shared news about the same on her social media today.

Samantha’s next film is with BAFTA-award winning director Phillip John, known for his ‘Downtown Abbey’ series. The film is based on the novel ‘Arrangements of Love’, which was adapted from the acclaimed novelist Timeri N Murari’s. The film is being bankrolled by Sunitha Tati’s Guru Films.

Taking to her Instagram, the actor shared, “A whole new world♥️…..
I last auditioned in 2009 for Ye Maya chesave . 12 years later ,and auditioning again, I felt the very same nervousness…. I guess it’s not everyday you get to audition for a BAFTA award winning , critically acclaimed, director of your most favourite series ‘Downton Abbey’ ♥️ Jumping for joy that you picked me sir 🤗 #PhilipJohn .. Thankyou @sunitha.tati @gurufilms1 for the opportunity.. cant wait to start this exciting journey !!”

In an exclusive interview , Samantha revealed that she plays a strong-minded and funny force of nature 27-year-old, who runs a detective agency and is a progressive bisexual Tamil woman, with ultra-traditional parents, who want her to have an arranged marriage.

Meanwhile, Samantha’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal very recently had its character first look release where Samantha is to play the role of ‘Khatija’. She is awaiting the release of her other film Shaakuntalam. She has received a lot of appreciation for her role in ‘The Family Man 2’ and is expected to sign up for some more web series as well.
