Though the two remained friends, they went on to various projects before reuniting for Akkineni’s Manam in 2014. The same year they did Autonagar Surya, their films were well received and the chemistry between the two was widely appreciated.
Nobody suspected the duo were dating until early 2016 when reports emerged them living together and were spotted together at various places.
In August, amid speculations that Samantha and Naga Chaitanya were engaged (thanks to Nagarjuna who made a public announcement that both his sons have found the love of their lives), Sam attended the wedding reception of Nimmagada Prasad’s daughter in Hyderabad with the Akkineni family. This kind of confirmed that the stars were indeed getting engaged.
