The Tamil Telugu actor Samantha had shocked her fans last week with the announcement of her separation from her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya with whom she had tied the knot on October 6, 2017. The couple would have celebrated their anniversary yesterday, if not for the sudden breakup.

But rumors have it that the breakup wasn’t sudden and had inbuilt reasons brewing for a long time. Madhavi Latha, an actor, and politician has had a hot take on their divorce.

The Snehituda actor, in her facebook interaction with her fans, has strongly disagreed with several theories about the divorce. “It has been presumed that Samantha continuing to do glamorous scenes hasn’t gone down well with her husband. Didn’t Naga Chaitanya know about Samantha’s profession before the marriage? There is a view that Samantha is a Christian and there has been a clash of religious beliefs. She has practiced Hindu beliefs by going on pilgrimages to Tirumala. Since she is a Christian by birth, it’s natural that she practices it as well,” Madhavi Latha said, alleging an actor friend of Samantha to be behind their divorce. She added that divorces are not common only in the film industry and that the rates of divorce are going up elsewhere as well.

Another rumor doing its rounds is the possibility of the Rangasthalam actor shifting her base to Mumbai, post-divorce. But trashing all rumors, Samantha had clarified that Hyderabad shall always be her home.

She has added that she will be staying in a flat at Gacchibowli in Hyderabad. It is the same flat where she had lived with Naga Chaitanya in the past. The parted couple have mutually agreed to Samantha’s stay at the place. The ‘Love Story’ actor vacated the place months ago.

Though the ChaySam divorce has stirred up memes and hashtags of sympathy and support, Chay and Sam promise to continue to entertain the audience with their big projects. Samantha is awaiting the release of Shakuntalam while Naga Chaitanya’s “Love Story” is raking up big numbers.
