Latest reports reveal that the show has roped in the popular actor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu to appear on the show. She has also appeared on the TV show series previously as well. A source close to her suggests that she has shot for the episode on Thursday at the Annapurna 7 acres. The Rangasthalam actor is also said to win Rs.25 lakhs like other celebrity guests on the show.
The episode is predicted to be aired during Dussehra, on October 15th. This show, recently inaugurated by the Telugu star Ram Charan, marks her first TV appearance after the announcement of her separation from Naga Chaitanya by making a public post requesting their fans to respect their privacy during their hard times.
Post-divorce, Samantha’s decision of keeping away from the media’s glare and wants to keep it that way for many months, stirs up a dilemma. This decision of hers has come at a time when her new film, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is going to be unleashed on the OTT platform of Disney+ Hotstar. Buzz has it that Disney+ Hotstar bagged the Direct-to-OTT rights of this movie.
The movie stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi along with Samantha. Nayanthara never really promotes her film and this has left only Vijay Sethupathi in the promotional team, following Samantha’s ‘no media’ decision.
Being a busy actor, the Vikram Vedha hero can definitely not accommodate so much time to promoting a film. This has left the OTT giant in a fix as it wants to promote the film vigorously.
Initially, Samantha was also interested in the promotion of the film as she wants to change the impression that the Tamil people formed of her after The Family Man 2 controversy. But with the background of her separation, she has switched to being dormant.
This movie is directed by Vignesh Shivan and rumors have it that Samantha and Nayanthara will be seen as sisters in the movie.
Post- divorce, Samantha has also shared a cryptic message on her Instagram that gave a befitting reply about how only women are questioned always and men can just live without any questions and justifications.
