The actress shared a pictorial collage of her and actress Lakshmi from the scene where she transforms into her younger self.
Samantha tagged the director of the film Nandini Reddy and captioned the picture “remember when you sent this picture after shoot saying ‘I think we got this’ all that nervous excitement.. great memories”
The actress even called the movie one of her favourite films and asked her fans to stream the movie online. The picture only proved why Samantha was the apt actor to play the role of the young “Swathi” in the film.
The Telugu movie was a remake of the South Korean film Miss Granny. The movie was dubbed and released in Tamil as well. The film follows the plot of an old grandmother who after taking a picture ends up in her twenty year old body. The film shows how the old soul trapped in the body of her younger self adjusts to the fashion,taste, music and atmosphere of the 21st century youth while making sure her family doesn’t find out her secret.
The film received critical praise and is said to be one of Samantha’s best films till date. The movie also features a cameo by the actress’ husband Naga Chaitanya.
