South Indian beauty and multilingual thespian Samantha is one of the most talented and profitable actresses, who has been dominating the industry with consecutive hit films. Samantha Akkineni has left audiences amazed by her strong and powerful portrayal of roles in films like Majili, Oh Baby, Super Deluxe and latest release Jaanu which is a Telugu remake of the Tamil movie 96 that released on Friday has garnered a staggering response from both audiences and critics. Though the film stars Sharwanad in the lead role and is sweeping the box office, Samantha has made headlines due to her comment about taking a break from acting.

In one of her interviews, Samantha Akkineni revealed she might take a break from acting after 2-3 films. However, this comment was mistaken as her to be retiring. At the success meet of her film, she cleared the air on this matter.

“I never meant to say that I will bid a goodbye to the film industry in three years.  As an actress, I have been around for more than 10 years.  It’s a big deal in the film industry, where female actors don’t enjoy a long career.  I will be very much around in some way or the other in films.  In what ways I will be in the film industry is something I myself don’t know.  You can’t plan some things. I might take a break tomorrow.  It’s not about retirement.”, she mentioned.

In the meantime, Samantha is gearing up for her Hindi debut in the web series, The Family Man season 2 in which Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani will be seen in the lead roles. Samantha will be seen doing some serious stunts for the first time.
