According to reports, Samantha has wrapped up her portions for Ponram’s Seema Raja and will soon wrap up her bits in U-Turn, where she’s playing the lead. Her role is that of an investigative journalist who reports on the series of deaths of motorists at a particular flyover. Directed by Pawan Kalyan, the original film’s starred Shraddha Srinath in 2016. Widely appreciated, it was then decided that it will be made in Telugu and Tamil starring Samantha.

Meanwhile, Samantha also has Super Deluxe in the pipeline. Directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, the film is said to be an anthology starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and Bagavathi Perumal. P.S.Vinod and Nirav Shah are handling cinematography, Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director. The additional screenplay is by Nalan Kumarasamy, Neelan K Shekar and Mysskin.
As for Seema Raja, Samantha will star alongside Sivakarthikeyan. But what really stands out is the fact that Samantha is all set to kick butts in this film! She has learnt Silambam, a weapon-based martial art of India, more specifically in the state of Tamil Nadu, where it originated around 1000 BC.
