Samantha debuted with the successful films like Ye Maaya Chesave, Baana Kaathadi but her first debut was Moscowin Kaveri which had actor-turned-director Rahul Ravindran in the lead. The film was directed by cinematographer Ravi Varman.
Rahul and Samantha remain to be best friends even after ten years. In fact, the actor’s wife and singer Chinmayi is also close friends with Samantha. Wishing her first costar and actor Rahul on his birthday, Samantha took to social media to express her happiness. “Thankyou for being my light … this constant light of positivity that you always surround your people with … not many like you @23_rahulr .. happy birthday my dear friend ..always proud that I can call you my dear frien,” wrote the Mahanati actress.
On the professional front, Samantha was last seen in the film Jaanu alongside Sharwanand. She will next be seen in two back to back Tamil films. One would be alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara titled Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kadhal. The film will be helmed by Vignesh Shivan and the music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Apart from that, Sam is a part of a Women-centric film helmed by Ashwin Saravanan of Game Over fame. The film will also see actor Prasanna in a pivotal role.
The latest buzz is that Samantha is all set to act with her off-screen love yet again post Majili. This time it is said to be directed by her Oh Baby director Nandhini Reddy.
