Samantha’s film Oh!Baby was a huge success too. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film garnered a lot of popularity and was a success at the box office too. Post that film, Samantha and Ms.Reddy turned out to be great friends. It was earlier reported this duo is taking their partnership to the next level by doing yet another film together and Naga Chaitanya was touted to play a lead in the film.
According to various reports, the film was to be another Korean remake by Nandini Reddy after Oh! Baby. The report also suggested that it was going to be an emotional drama. Emotional drama has worked well with Samantha and Naga Chaitanya and this might be an equally good film too.
However, it has now been reported that the real-life couple might be doing a film for director Vikram Kumar titled Thank You. Earlier during an interview, Vikram was quoted saying, “I am collaborating with Naga Chaitanya and Dil Raju for my next. We have always wanted to work together and I am delighted to team up with them for a family entertainer with the working title Thank You. The story revolves around the two lead characters and we will start shooting once normalcy returns (in Hyderabad).” He had also added that Sam will not be a part of this film. “Sam is not part of the film. Some other actor will play the lead heroine. However, we haven’t approached anyone so far and are yet to finalise the rest of the cast,” he stated.
Speculations are now doing the rounds that this may happen as a change. We are yet to await any further confirmation from both Nandini Reddy and Vikram Kumar.
On the professional front, Samantha has two Kollywood films in her kitty namely Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kadhal and an untitled next with Prasanna directed by Ashwin Saravanan whereas Naga Chaitanya is doing his next titled Love Story with Sai Pallavi directed by Sekhar Kammula.
