Sai Pallavi, who was last seen in Maari 2 and Padi Padi Leche Manasu, has reportedly refused to accept the remuneration for the latter film. The Telugu movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi has been declared a flop with the box office showing very poor numbers. Despite that, when the producer had reportedly tried to reach out to her for her payment, she refused.

According to a DC report, the producer of the movie had paid an advance with the balance to be paid after the film’s release. The producer paid more than half of the remuneration to Sai Pallavi and after the release of the film he was going to pay the remaining Rs 40 lakhs to her. And though the film was a flop, the producer decided to pay the money.

The reason for her refusing to take the later payment is unknown but unconfirmed sources state that it has something to do with the film’s performance at the box office. The film had actor Sharwanand as the male lead with Sai Pallavi playing Vaishali, a medical student. The two are Telugu speaking people living in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, as for Sai Pallavi, the actress has been on a roll particularly owing to her dancing skills. She starred in Maari 2 with Dhanush and wowed the audience through her role as Anandhi and her dancing for the song ‘Rowdy Baby’. The song has clocked in around 43 million views. Another song of hers featuring her dancing her heart out is ‘Vachinde’ from the Telugu film Fidaa. The song has clocked in nearly 175 million views on YouTube, beating the record set by Dhanush’s ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ song from 3.

In the pipeline, Sai Pallavi has NGK with Suriya Sivakumar and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie is likely to be a political drama and is slated to release this year, directed by Selvaraghavan. She also has an untitled film with Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil.
