There was a time when Trisha doned the role of Simran’s friend in the famous 1999 film ‘Jodi. After that, they were both a part of the Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’. And, now we get to see these two share equal screen space and this has ought to be super fun to watch. All In Pictures production house announced in February that they will be seen together in an action-adventure film. ‘Sadhuram 2’ fame Sumanth Radhakrishnan is touted to direct this film. This film will be Vijayaraghavendra’s All In Pictures’ fourth production venture following ‘Masala Padam’, ‘Rum’ and and Jiiva starrer ‘Gorilla’

The title of this adventure film has been fixed as SUGAR. It has also been revealed that the Petta ladies will be seen as siblings in the film.The music will be composed by Santhosh Dhayanidhi Saravanan Ramasamy will be cranking the camera. Sathish, Jagapati Babu and Abhinay will be seen in pivotal roles. Sathish had earlier tweeted about his experience with the leading ladies and how it was fun working with them.

In the professional front, Simran, was last seen in ‘Petta’. She has Gautham Menon’s ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ and ‘Vanangamudi’ also starring Arvind Swamy.

While Trisha is awaiting the release of the much delayed project ‘Sadhuranga Vettai 2’ and ‘Garjanai’. She also has ‘Paramapadham Vilayattu’ up for release and ‘1818’ in production stage.
