The year seems to have brought a great opportunities for young actress Keerthy Suresh. The Kollywood actor has bagged two top projects in Tollywood. Mahanati movie’s Director Nag Ashwin has reportedly confirmed that Keerthy will play the lead character of legendary actress Savitri. The movie is based on the late star’s life who has acted across South cinema and in Bollywood.
Reports suggest Nitya Menen was earlier considered for the role, post which Samantha was approached too. However, Samantha is also a part of the project, but details of her role haven’t been confirmed yet.
“We will start the film’s shoot around February – March, this year. It will be a biopic and we are not taking cinematic liberties which would tamper with her actual life story,” said Sai Madhav, the film’s scriptwriter to TOI.
