According to reports, Chitra was found hanging in a hotel Nazarathpettai. She returned back to the hotel after completing the day’s shoot at around 3:00 AM.
She was reportedly staying at the hotel with her fiance Hemanth, a businessman. The couple was engaged to be married shortly. Chitra had told Hemanth to take a walk while she takes a shower. Hemanth, later grew suspicious when the actress took a longer time to call him back.
After first investigations with Hemanth and the hotel’s manager, a popular regional news channel has reported that Hemanth and Chitra had a legal register marriage a few months ago and are infact husband and wife.
It is also noteworthy that the RTO has ordered an inquiry as Chitra committed suicide within 2 months of marriage. Second set of autopsy reports have reported that there were bruise marks on the face of the deceased. Now, her mother has said during an interview that Chitra was a bold woman, and she would advise people with such weak thoughts. She also alleged that it was not a suicide and that her husband Hemanth would have beaten her to death.
On the work front, Chitra is known for her performance in serials like Saravanan Meenatchi, Velunachi, Darling Darling, Mannan Magal and Chinna Papa Periya Papa, to name a few.
As a dancer, Chithra took part as one of the contestants of the show Jodi Fun Unlimited also.
