Rakul’s Loss Is Samantha’s Gain! Star Bags Ram Charan’s Next?

The recent reports surrounding the ouster of Premam-fame actress Anupama Parameswaran in Ram Charan-Sukumar’s next, topped headlines. However, sources say Rakul and Samantha were in talks for the lead role in the movie and the latter bagged it.

Rakul has acted with Rm Charan in his previous two movies, Bruce Lee and Dhruva and that’s the reason for her losing out on the role. However, reports say Samantha is ‘confirmed’ for the role and the actress will start shooting soon.

Sukumar and Ram Charan have not confirmed the news yet. Recently, Samantha also spoke out on how she’s losing out on offers post the announcement of her wedding with Naga Chaitanya. She said,”The day my marriage plans were announced, the offers dried up. Just like that! I was like… what happened? I am the same actress. I’ve given back-to-back hits throughout the year. My Tamil film 24 and my Telugu films A Aa and Janatha Garage were hits. So why am I suddenly being shunned?”

She also mentioned that producers were hesitant because she was going to be Nagarjuna’s daughter-in-law. But she says that Nagarjuna is the first person who was most supportive of her career plans post her wedding with Naga Chaitanya. She also felt proud about her boyfriend Naga Chaitanya who took an effort to inform people that she is open to opportunities.

“Although there is uncertainty about my future in the film industry, thankfully there is no uncertainty about my future in his family. Even the endorsement offers I was getting have been curtailed. It’s as though I’ve already left. It’s bizarre.”, she added.

More power to the actresses and women across in standing up for this discrimination.
