Veteran actor YG Mahendran’s daughter and Rajinikanth’s niece, Madhuvanthi Arun will be making her movie debut this year. She is all set make her appearance in the Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Dharma Durai. Madhuvanthi is a theatre artist and she was roped in for the project after Seenu saw her performance at at a play.

Madhuvanthi is excited for more than one reason, apart from acting in a movie for the first time, she will also be donning the role of a cop! It is said that her character is a turning point in the movie and she will appear in the flashback scenes. The film is directed by National award winning director, Seenu Ramaswamy and he has teamed up for the second time with Vijay Sethupathi after Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, for which Seenu bagged the National award.
