Rajinikanth Birthday: From Sachin Tendulkar to Trisha, Celebs Wish The Superstar!

There’s no one like him!

It’s Rajinikanth’s 68th birthday and as though it were a gift for fans, the teaser of his next film Petta was released and fans and foes are stoked! Always portrayed as a larger-than-life figure, Rajinikanth is known all over the country (even the world too) with fans who are big stars wishing him on his big day.

From working with him to simply paying tribute to him through words and pictures, here’s a look at all those wished thalaivaa a grand, grand birthday!

When Sachin Tendulkar went all gaga over the Superstar:

When colleague and fellow-politician Kamal Haasan wished him well and all the good luck. Haasan wrote: “Congratulations to my many-year-old friend, a fellow student, superstar. Let our friendship and victories continue.”

Trisha, who is all set to star alongside the Superstar in Petta, shared a video message for him:

Rajinikanth’s 2.0 colleague, too, shared a picture of them and how he admires the actor.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal shared a picture of the two in Hawaiian get-up and a framed still from Enthiran.

Bollywood’s Superstar – Amitabh Bachchan – too chipped in with the wishes, wishing his Hum colleague!

Vishal, too, was all praises for the Superstar.

Telugu star Mahesh Babu had nice things to say to the Superstar.

Simran, who stars along with the Superstar in Petta, too, shared a video message for him.

GV Prakash, who has composed for Rajinikanth’s films, shared an image from those composing days.

Perhaps our favourite tribute would have to be by Chennai Super Kings, sharing a still of the actor that is synonymous to the madness around the actor.

His stylish walk, his bouffant hair, his signature dark glasses and his feverish smile – all those are present in Petta’s teaser, Rajinikanth’s upcoming film directed by Karthik Subbaraj. On the occasion of his birthday, the makers of the film released the teaser showcasing the superstar in all his glory. In fact, it appears that he’s back to his old self with the promise of massy dialogues and scene entries looming high in the air.

The background music, by Anirudh Ravichander, is enough to give you goosebumps and while he walks towards his frothing fans, the vibes of a Rajini that fans used to know seems to be creeping back. The story is still hard to predict but we get to see two versions of a Rajini – a young one and an old one. One who sports a handlebar moustache and the other with a salt and pepper beard and brown hair.
