Radhika Apte’s Will Dance To Asha Bhosle’s Songs As Tribute To The Veteran Singer

It has become a trend to pay tribute to senior artists from Bollywood. Ranveer Singh recently paid tribute to the Khans by grooving to songs of SRK, Aamir and Salman. Varun Dhawan too has paid tribute to Govinda, clearly the trend is continuing and Radhika Apte is the recent star to join the bandwagon. The talented actress is all set to pay tribute to veteran singer Asha Bhosle. And while most of these tributes are given at award shows, Radhika will be doing so at a public venue in Mumbai.

A source close to the actor says, “Radhika is trained in contemporary dance. She took a professional course in the dance form in London (UK). The actor will pay tribute to Ashaji by dancing on her popular tracks such as ‘Aaj rapat jaye to’ (Namak Halaal; 1982), ‘Jaane do na’ (Saagar; 1985), etc. Radhika will perform with choreographer Terence Lewis. The duo will showcase a mix of contemporary and Latin dance forms. The performance will take place on September 8.”

Radhika too confirmed the news, and said, “If there is one thing I’m passionate about besides acting, it’s dancing. I am excited about paying tribute to someone like Asha tai. I will be performing on some of her beautiful songs.”

Radhika was last seen in the blockbuster gangster thriller, Kabali opposite Superstar Rajinikanth.
