Introduced to Tamil cinema by legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja in ‘Kangalal Kaidhu Sei’ in 2004, Priyamani entered the silver screens. She played the female lead in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam movies and returned to the Tamil industry in 2007 with the blockbuster ‘Paruthiveeran’ by Ameer and a debutante Karthi. With the rural portrayal of Muthazhagu in the film, she won the Best Actress National Award.

She fell in love with a businessman Mustafa Raj and got married in 2017. A few months back, the bad side of her love life showed up as Mustafa’s ex-wife alleged that their divorce hadn’t passed through and the marriage with Priyamani is invalid.

The ‘Family Man’ actor responded in an interview and said, “We are very secure in our relationship, even though right now, he is in the US; he’s working there. We make it a point that we talk to each other every day. At least if not what has happened every day, then we say hi or hello to each other. If he’s busy with work, he’ll probably call me or text me once he’s free. Or vice versa, if I’m busy with shooting, I would do that.”

Reports, however, suggest that all is not well between the couple and some even speculate about a divorce. The actor has squashed the divorce rumors with a subtle sign by posting a happy picture of themselves on Diwali.
