“Yes, she has taken a conscious decision to deactivate her Instagram account as she needed a break from all that screen-time. However, this is only temporary. Whenever she feels like it, she can rejoin the platform.”Her father Prakash Varrier had told BT.
Although, Priya decided to deactivate her Instagram profile, her presence on other social media platforms is felt. The actress who debuted with Omar Lulu’s Oru Adaar Love had a strong social Instagram presence with over seven million followers.
Weighing in on the actors decision, a digital expert stated to the entertainment times, “It’s likely that she deactivated the account because she wants to be taken seriously as an actress, rather than be sidelined as a social media influencer. It is difficult to see why else she would do this at such a time, when everyone is spending time online.”
The actress is all set to be seen on the big screen this year with the film Sridevi bungalow.
