Sometime around this year, you would have definitely come across the wink sensation of internet Ms. Priya Prakash Varrier, the debut from the Malayalam song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the film Oru Adaar Love. The 18-year-old, first-year B.Com student of Vimala College, Thrissur is now reportedly become the most searched personality of the year, according to Google India. Following in second is none other than Nick Jonas who recently married beau Priyanka Chopra in a grand affair! Priyanka herself was the fourth most searched personality on Google. Last year it had been Sunny Leone in the first position!
The second and fifth positions went to dance performer Sapna Choudhary and actor Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja respectively. The interest in royal weddings spiked as American actor turned Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle also figured in the list of most-searched-for personalities from India, Google revealed in its “Year in Search” results.

Interestingly “what is section 377”, was almost one of the most searched keywords this year along with, “how to get whatsapp stickers”, and “how to link aadhar with account”.
