Priya Bhavani Shankar Talks About Why She Never Opts For Glamorous Roles!

Here’s why Priya never chooses glamourous roles!

Former television presenter Priya Bhavani Shankar is busy actress today. After her debut with the film Meyaadha Maan, she acted in the film Kadaikutty Singham along with actor Karthi. The actors upcoming project is along  with Kamal Haasan in the Shankar film Indian 2. 

Recently, the actress said that she prefers non glamour out roles. According to reports, the actress was offered to portray glamorous characters but she declined such projects. The actress is said to have declined such roles as she believes her face and body type do not suit such roles.

In a previous interview with JFW the actress had expressed her excitement to work on Indian 2, the actress said, “I remember meeting Shankar sir during an audio launch and I remember that it was during that time when Kamal sir announced that Indian 2 would be his last film. I was certain that there is absolutely no way I would be getting a chance to act with Kamal sir anymore. But, it was during one of those days when Shankar sir asked me if I would play an important role in the film. I decided to take up the role even if it was 10 minutes. But, little did I know that I would be listening to a two-hour narration of a pivotal role I would be playing.”

The actress went on to express her glee about working with acclaimed actor Kamal Haasan, “He is Ulaganayagan, you know? Of course, I’m excited to act with him and learn so much from him. I remember dancing to the tunes of Akkada song from Indian when I was 5. Today, I’m a part of it’s sequel. It’s surreal, this moment.”

The actress is said to act alongside SJ Surya in the film Bommai, she has previously acted with him in the film monster. The bubbly actress has films with Raghava Lawrence, Harish Kalyan and actor Vishal coming up.  The actress also played a role in the Arun Vijay film mafia:chapter 1.
